Ultra-lightweight cap screw 'AZX912'
Adopting materials with high strength and heat resistance among flame-retardant magnesium alloys!
The "AZX912" is an ultra-lightweight cap screw that features hexagon socket bolts made from magnesium alloy, which has undergone anodizing treatment to enhance corrosion resistance. With a specific gravity of approximately 1.8, it is about two-thirds the weight of aluminum alloy (specific gravity 2.7) and about one-fourth that of steel, making it extremely lightweight. It utilizes magnesium alloy, which is an excellent material in terms of specific strength, specific rigidity, vibration absorption, and recyclability. The specific strength (strength per unit density) of the AZX912 bolts is more than three times that of soft steel. When guaranteeing equivalent strength with bolts, the size or number may increase, but the total weight can be kept to about one-third. 【Features】 ■ Addition of Ca (calcium) suppresses flammability ■ Tensile strength ranges from 250 to 320 MPa, with a 0.2% yield strength of 160 to 240 MPa ■ Strength comparable to A5056 ■ With the same tightening axial force, it experiences less axial force reduction and is less prone to loosening compared to steel bolts *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
